Default Open sights or Telescopic sights?

Which do you prefer for general shooting?

Personally i enjoy using open sights more than i do using scopes (so i'm voting for open sights!), but my scope is so well zeroed now that i cannot bring myself to remove the scope!
I only switched to scope use when my Webley Hawk's rear sight broke off, and since then i have used scopes more than open sights until i got the HW90; where i enjoyed using the open sights for a few weeks whilst i looked for a decent 1-piece mount for the scope.

Its got to be a 'scope for me every time.
Further range, higher accuracy and lots less ponceing about ie: the eye/rearsight/foresight/target line-up.

The only minus I can think of is moisture on the outside of the lens.

Depends on what sort of shooting you're doing really, for a bit of plinking open sights are a fun challenge. A red dot can be handy when you need to let off a fast shot - i.e. ratting situations but as you've found yourself most of the time a decent scope is the only real choice.
As to what's more enjoyable - well, it comes down to whether you get more enjoyment from trying to hit something against all the odds or from actually hitting something. Hitting stuff does it for me

LOL Les

By the way, i have got some more land now - a filled quarry adjacent to the one i already shoot on Ran into the retired Doctor who owns that area of land and he was a friend of my now deceased Grandfather (they knew eachother very well are were both, doctor still is, into shooting with FAC guns as well as airguns). Anyway he said that if i would like to hunt rabbits i can use his field which is quite active with them apparently - should be fun! I'm gonna have a snoop around there tomorrow and see what i can get.

To be honest don't see the point in open sites for hunting these days as if shooters are using them its something they should stick with not change to one day using a scope then another using open sights.
