rabbits
as above im not shooting them,im breeding them with my granchildren,but i went out the other night ,the doe had give birth to a few,i kept away ,when i went in the morning,she had eat and killed them,whats that all about then ,any info,it said nowt about anything like that in the library books,

Rabbits are well known for eating their young....she may have felt threatened or there was something wrong with them.....these are just guesses but it does happen

a lot of animals eat their own young,if bothered.best not to go anyere near them when they got young ,for at least a week after birth,ferrets eat they young too if you open box to look at them too soon.have know dogs to do it too.

bloody hell, i never new so many alimals,eat there own,i wouldnt of bothered,with rabbits for the gran kids ,if i knew this thanks

Years ago i used to breed birds, various kinds and had several avaries on the go at once.
On two occasions i had budgies kill and part eat all their brood.
Again you would not expect that of seed eating birds but they did. Not just a peck but ate them from the head down.
