IP addy (back to an old topic)

Just a thought about IP addresses and the supposed fact that static address can not change. Mod's please check this IP addy against my normal addy and it would have changed. All for fun and all but just to prove a point.John

Ban an ip addy from over here and you can ban a whole town

We use microwave technology (don't get excited Taffygun, I'm not talking food) instead of land lines. Little ariels that connect to our central host who has the IP we all share

John, let's not take this out of proportion.
I was merely asking what you point was to your post, as I, did not understand what angle you were coming from or going to?

Are you saying that you have changed a static IP address, or just showing us that IP address do change?

Of which most people are aware of i would have thought?

Why would you think it is being taken out of proportion.
I am suggesting neither but simply enquiring if my IP addy had changed on the post.

what happens if you change server does your IP address change then i.e if you change from IE to Firefox ??????????

IP is based on internet connection settings, and not browser settings
