I was purely helping out any members who are as dumb as me for not reading the header properly thereby making a complete tit of myself in public. OK?
You happy now?

Tempted to take a chance on the cable filter. At £10 if it dont work, no real loss, if it does, it will be good.
Just need someone else to try first, then if they get collard for a big bill, its no loss to me.

Fancy geting cable to try it Rod

Default Re: Cable tv scams

there sh*te mate,

your box has an inbuilt credit amount if you use the filter you will get free ppv up to that credit ammount, BUT.... you will need to keep the filter on forever because the history of ppv is stored on your box and if you remove the filter it will send the info back and you will be billed, the credit limit is about 30 quid so your only gaining 20 quid and a lot of hassle because like i said the filter will have to stay on forever and if any one from the cable comp comes round they,ll see it, waste of cash

Thought that was only cable boxes that did that. I remember people buying boxes at boot fairs, then when they hook em up get collard with big bills.
