Default predator polymer pellets

has any one else tried these pellets for hunting

i am using a old springer a cometta 300 which i have had tested with acupells and is just under the 12 limit but thought i would give these new pellets a try and the results seemed too good at 30 40 and even 50 yards pidgeons and rabbits were dropping cold
should i really be getting this range and stopping power at 50 yards with a 12lb springer or are these pellets making my gun too powerfull ??

You have a small weight diffrence with your ammo, the acupell comes in @14.3. The predator pellets with polymer-tips come in @16grns
If i rember right I think it works that you are still in the limits, dont forget you are useing a pointed pellet now,but play safe and run it over a crono.
I can hit a brancher 2 0r 3 times before it drops with acupell ,but it takes only one pellet with power pell due to the tip.

hi steven
yup its the jsb polymer tipped oned in 1.77 and i have to say they are way better than the prometheus ones which i found to be inacurate and also left little bits of the plastic case in my barrel after a while

so far i cant fault them for hunting great range and acuracy and take down power is superb

just hope they fit in the x2 magazine as they are a bit bigger ??

hi steven
yup i would recomend the predators they really suit my gun but it is a springer not sure if it would make a diffrence thought but give them a try see if they work for you, the prometheus ones were good for the first few shots then they started going everywhere thought

as for shoots i am going to place a few ads see if i can get someones attention it just ****** me off the 2 of us that go shooting are carefull guys but had to leave our last place when we found the yob nutters 6 pack in one hand gun in other shooting at anything that moved

but i find farmers we ask up just dont want to know or take the chance i suppose

No its not, altho you have hit them they twitch for a quiet a few seconds before they fall off the branch, so hit them twice just to make sure, thats its quicker and cleaner

some times lez you can only get a body shot in ,but as i say head shots should be the norm,The point i was trying to make is that the pointed pellets work a lot better on crows than acupell normals Ie with the pointey ones its over so quick for the birds, just my observations
