We go out at all times and found the main of the rabbits out about 1 hour after sunset. But its one of those things, some nights you`ll be tripping over them and others you won`t see a thing.

In theory, they should come out just after as the sun goes down and then again as the sun is coming up.

I usually go around six and stay out till around 10. I have stayed out till one/two on occassions and I have to say that some nights it's good and some it's bad.

I think it's got more to do with conditions than anything else. If the weather is mild-ish you can be sure to see the rabbits. If its freezing cold with a frost on the ground then it will probably slow.

I have 2 shoots and on the 1st one I find that about 1 to 2 hours after sunset the best but on number 2 shoot about a hour before dawn has been the most productive.

Saying that, this is no hard & fast rule as it depends on weather, fox's and numerous other factors, it's just a case of trying different times in different conditions. Try keeping a hunting log so you can look back and judge what the next trip to your shoots might produce.
