Keeping the instructions in the Shop????? Giving your misses an earfull, sorry but I wouldnt have that, quite honestly I would get back in the car (if you are happy to do so) with the gun and take it back, dump it in the shop and demand your money back and then source one from a decent dealer.

I must admit, I've never read anything other than negative feedback about this particular shop.

If you take it back to the shop and demand your money back you will get nowhere. I know someone who bought a brand new gun there only to find it some weeks later it was secondhand and had no warranty. On taking it back to the shop, he was asked to prove the receipt that stated it was brand new, and where was the packaging, and what proof he had to say he was told it was brand new. He had paid over the odds for what would have been a high price brand new, for something that wasn't.. Upon telling Drapers he would be seeing trading standards the reply he was given was this. "its all been done before, and we've never lost yet.
They have the stock, go there if you want pellets, or do face to face deals, they are very expensive for mail order, but I would definitely only use them if you are face to facing, and can actually see what you're getting, and don't expect much in the way of warranties being honoured....

You are totally correct Jayboy. I have only had dealings with them once, and they are truly the biggest set of ladies front bottoms I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I had a similar experience to your friend, but with a brand new gun. I too threatened to take them to court. They also told me that it had been done many times before and thet didn't give a monkeys chuff. I wouldn't p*** on them if they were on fire!

A mate of mine went to them to get a new gun and they would'nt to do a cronograph test, they lost out on a £1000 pound gun and scope deal for the five mins work and a handful of pellets
All the horses tied up out the back of the shop tipped me of to the fact that they were a bunch of cowboys.

Its a local for me. And has the biggest airgun stock in the area. However, I have found better places to buy stuff. I now only go there to look at stuff. They don't particully know there stuff or anything recent/currently happening in the shooting world. They certainly have had a bad mail order record for some time. Their record has for some time been only certainly intrested in a sale, not after sale service.

I have defended them before, as i have had resonable service when I had been in the shop. However even in this now there record is failing, and i find myself now unable to do this. This is a shop to avoid.

Dealt with them once mate when AA first bought the s400 out.
Was working in nottingham one day and i was sat in the cabin having a drink and reading the reviews about it in airgun world i think and spotted Drapers add in the mag aswell.
I gave them a ring for directions and being self employed i decided to down tools and have a drive.
After 30 minutes of driving (wrong directions given to me) i arrived in only what i can call an area that looked like a bloody war zone, went to open the door and couldnt get in and then i realised that i had to press a buzzer. Ten minutes of waiting and they let me in.
First impressions where good...lots of guns and well set out.
Then i asked a member of staff for assistance and wished i hadnt. Useless.
Anyway i did buy the AA s400 with scope ect even tho they where over priced but i had the credit card on me and it was dying to be used.
After 3 days the gun developed a few problems so i rang them up to sort it out and took the gun back for repair only to fetch it back the next day and it still be broken.
Basiclay i gave up with them after around 6 more visits and sold the gun on to someone who knew it was faulty.
I lost a lot of money on that gun and Drapers where about as much help and use as a chocolate fireguard and about £700 richer of me.

Never again
