Default What stirrup pump

With the move to Spain growing closer by the day.
Its time to think about sorting out charging equipment until I find my feet out there and divers shops to get both my bottles filled

What stirrup pumps do you fit healthy specimens recommend for a fat over weight tub of lard ?
I have no idea on moisture content of air where I will be moving to until I get my weather station up and running there

Thanks Lee G

Hills pump with a filter kit Lee - costs around £130 mate. I would expect you'll find dive shops in Spain - especially on the coast

2nd'd. - moisture filter is a must to stop rusting up your barrel, unless you clean it every time you go out.
but i also believe the BSA pump is a badged up hills.

Nigel

It's not the rusting of the barrel that's the problem it's the rusting of the inside of the air tube

well some air-guns use alloy tubes or stainless, but your right, if you have steel tubes, you could be looking at trubble along the road !
something to consider for every PCP user !

What part of Spain are you off to? I have reasonable knowledge of some areas, especially the dive shops.

I have a Hill pump (got a BSA badge on it too) and it fills my Logun 400cc bottle from empty in about 12ish minutes. It's a slow process, but any faster and your asking for moisture due to the heat generated. I'm 14 stone and have to apply my whole bodyweight on it above 180 bar. A bit sweaty too!

Good luck

Dave

The gas mark 7 part. 30 mins in the sun and your cooked
I'm going to be about twenty mins from Alicante. A place called Catral
Once I'm over and on line, I will be running a live weather station, which will also give the pool temp. Not that I'm the type the wind the Welsh and the Wanna Be Welsh on here up

Very nice.

My family used to live in Calpe, so we always used to fly into Alicante airport. Back then you couldn't get anything once through security. I guess it's got a it bigger!
