What Got You Into Air Rifles?

What made you want to start using air rifles?

For me, i was at a friends house and had a go on his, i was hooked. Soon started going to the local range and after a while also got into hunting with them.

I'm sure there are a few interesting stories out there.

My brother used to hunt & field target shoot years ago,that sparked my interest.

I've always just hunted though,targets aren't really my cup of tea.

My mum never allowed gun's in the house whilst she was here.
Not even plastic ones's.

So as soon as she left, I took advantage of the situation, and got married to my first rifle, the Ultra.

my firtst introduction to air rifles was through a mate and his uncle i think i was about 11 then after that it was an addiction even though my mother never allowed/liked the idea i got my way in the end

my dad used to shoot when he was younger then when i was about 9 he let me have a go with his with him while mum went out one day

loved it ever since

eventually persuaded mum to allow me to have use of a new air rifle as the haenel couldent hit a barn door :P
and now i have my favourite the ultra

we love them ultras dont we rhys

I can imagine you helping your mother put her belongings in the car,waving her off,saying "Oh well,off to the gunshop then"!

gazo got me into airguns i used to shoot shot gun but stopped years before i met gaz then one day i pop up his for a cuppa and he had gotten his airgun so i had a go of it and was hooked i dont get to shoot airguns to much now tho i've gone back to shotguns and rimmies and centre fire

Mines just a follow on from being in the Army I guess air rifles first and now rimfire & soon center fire ( .243)

did it all the other way round me shoot guns rime fire center fire
lost a lot of interest in shooting with c/f a good set up blowing some thing to bits at 150 200 yards but thats just me.
so got rid of them all bar shot guns and got a rapid fac and started to enjoy my shooting again. think its the thrill of trying to get a bit closer
