Default Useful Info For New Shooters!!!

Hello all, was just surfing the net, to find a good guide on how to shoot standing... when I came across this site

http://www.net77.com/page2.html

It made me realise that, shooting standing will take a hell of alot longer than I thought, and that I shold jsut concentrate on one thing at a time... a very useful guide to shooting for any airgunner I think, its well worth a look, specially good reading if you are new to air gunning...

ENJOY!

Default Re: Useful Info For New Shooters!!!

Personally I like to use the finger top stance (supporting and balancing the rifle on your finger tops) I like to have my fingers as close to the trigger as possible.

Basically:
-Put your feet in a “golf” like stance (toes in a direct line towards your target) and then move your front foot slightly outwards.
-Get your rifle into a comfortable position and start to take aim.
-Now bend the top part of your body slightly back until your hips kind of lock into an almost fixed position. (Sorry, but it is difficult to explain).
-Now put the elbow of the arm supporting the rifle into your hips (kind of on top of your hips). At least make sure your hip and not your arm is holding the weight of the rifle.

It gives a good stability and quick target change possibilities without too much wobbling. But this is personal as you will understand. This one of the techniques used by the 10 m competition shooters due to its stability.

I could not find any good pictures for you to see. This would make things a lot easer.

Good luck,

Marc
