Seconded Les, no shooter can be fully responsible without being insured.

I'd just like to add that if you are going for or already have FAC rated guns and rimfire etc the BASC Full membership at £50 is the best choice because it covers you for firearms usage in addition to airguns.

Other than that if you are only using non FAC airguns the choice of BASA or BASC is down to personal preference.

I use BASC now after going down the FAC route but I used BASA for a few years and found it helped when approching landowners.

Fair comment Neil, I have BASC although BASA is cheaper, Landowners seem to recognise the BASC above all others
