Default Pest control

Me and some friends want to make some flyers, buissiness cards and put some adds in mags, papers etc, saying that we offer a free pest control service and to look more professional we want to have a name, But i was wandering if anyone knows if we need to be registred or anything that we need to do so as we dont brake the law, any help would be great. Thanks

I had the same idea mate, but was'nt sure if you needed a pest control license and what this means from a regulation point of view. I keep reading conflicting things, one saying if you have written permission your ok, and others saying you need a license??? to shoot vermin. Any one out there got some knowledge?

A second thought, anyone have any experience about approaching golf couses and if they are interested or tell you to do onen? best approaches etc?

cheers

I managed to get permission to shoot on my local Golf course.
But only after the course owner had problems at home with rabbits.
I had to reduce the numbers in his garden 1st before i could shoot over the course.
The only times i can shoot over the course is 1st light and last light or with my NV scope - its a bit restrictive, but people are shocked to see someone roaming round the place with an Air Rifle, Especially Stealth's and guns of similar looks.

I would suggest showing membership of BASC & insurance, go over the safety aspect, saying you will shot only when people are not in your visinity, i.e starting at 1st hole when the last person is on the 12, offer a demo of how accurate you and the gun are.

And hope for the Best.

Regards
Nigel

As Nev so rightly say's you need to down load the DEFRA licence, and its FREE tells you what you can shoot, don't leave home without it....or yer gun
