Yes it is possible, there are still alot of bloody good shooters out there that use a springer or Gas ram Air rifle that can outshoot a PCP, I've seen them do it. BTW Terry Doe used a springer in the early days of FT and won .......so it is possible.
I'm down or upgrading however people want to look at it to a springer next year on the HFT circuit because I fancy getting back to grass roots shooting. If I go to France next year I'm going to need a springer not a PCP unless I buy a compressor
