Default New Gun.

Hi all, first real post.

I've recently returned to shooting after gaining permission on 3 nearby farms who all have a bunny problem. I'm currently using an HW97k, fitted with a Simmons 4-12x40 scope and I'm more than thrilled with it. It's a bit on the heavy side but apart from that, it's a cracker. It's not tuned, but I have thought about it but to be honest, it seems to be doing the job well enough as is.

Since returning to shooting over this last few weeks, I have been almost bewildered by the amount/type of new guns on the market and I was wondering which one of these beauties is the daddy? I've been thinking of getting another gun and I have a bit of pocket money to spend so I was wondering if you guys could help me spend it wisely if I decide to go ahead. The gun will be used mainly against rabbit. It will have to be 12ft/lbs or under as I no longer have an FAC.

Thanks in advance,

Dale.

Thanks Taffy.

Yep, that's on my shortilst and I'm wondering how it compares with others, the Superten is on my list too, along with some Air Arms and Theoben guns.

I currently have a S10 @ FAC level and previously had the HW100T Mk1 which I foolishly sold to fund a HMR I would recommend the 100 over almost any of the PCP's on the market

Thanks all.

Current shortlist is, after a visit to my local gunshop yesterday,

HW100, though I'm not sure about the weight as that's one of the reasons I'm thinking of changing as the 97K is a tad heavy,

Rapid Mk 1,

S10,

BSA, Ultra (possibly multishot)

BSA, Scorpion (possibly T-10)

or, get my 97K tuned and fit a walnut or synthetic stock, if available.

Whad ya think of the shortlist so far?
