Default how do i clean the barrel on a......

i currently own a smk super xs 19 air rifle, u may or may not know but this is a break barrel mechanism, and obviously with the break barrel i can thread my pull down from the break point and out of the end of the barrel and then pull it through, but how exactly do u clean the inside of the barrel on fixed barrel air rifle that use cocking handles and wot not as the mechanism for example the s16-s how do u clean the inside of the barrel on that beast lol cheers

tbh mate i have never cleaned an air rifle barrel as they dont seem to get that dirty, not enough to affect accuracy. i have put several tins of pellets through air rifles with no effects to accuracy

For fixed barrel owners or indeed break barrel ownners ,Bisley manufacture a type of pellet which will clean the barrel as its fired from the rifle. A pretty fast way to way to clean your barrel if you ask me !

could try the bore snake, it would work for some but not all. Generally you do not need to bother though as already said. Rim fire and centre fire need to be cleaned to remove the powder residue as it is corrosive, also due to extreme high pressure and velocity you can get a copper or lead build up. Not a problem with AG.

ok fair enuf then , im jsut a freak for keeping this in pristeen condition hense why im probs gnna go for a brand new s16-s instead of second hand lol

as above if you clean a rifle clean the complete gun not just the barrel
