Default got my new gun need some cleaning tips

on friday i treat my self to a new weihrauch hw100 t and am chuffed to bits with it . all i need now is some cleaning tips.
ive been out with it a couple of times now and when i came back home i whiped the barrel and cylinder down with an oily rag and put the gun in bedroom not back in bag as im ledto believe it leads to rusting.

are there any other tips for cleaning the gun .
should i wipe the stock ? and what with?
what about cleaning barrel ? how often and what with ?

thanks

When you wipe everything down with the rag, be sure to wipe it over with a clean rag after. Also for cleaning the barrel, i've been using my mates Bisley cleaning kit....works a treat M8.

i use napier gun oil and wipe the stock over with it as well.
never cleaned the barrel out.
you'd be surprised what oils people use, 3 in 1 in some cases.
