yes its got better as all the top chefs are using them ask your local butchers or farm shop ,
and state how much do you pay for a rabbit going rate down here is(£1.00-£1.50)

well thats the thing i use to work at a butchers and i heard nothing of this buying rabbits

Its like a trend, when I started back into serious shooting around 8yrs ago the local butchers were loving the airgunners cos of the headshot kills and no damaged meat, they would pay £1 each for them then. That didn't last long when people found out the butcher was buying bunnies cos you had every ferreter, dog and roughshooter bringing home 30-40 bunnies a time and flooding him with them so most of the time he always had his fill. After a lull in being told "sorry mate i've got enough" and people not bringing the bunnies home in sacks anymore, good ole butcher was looking for them again...... and so on.
I have that on the PYO fruit farm I shoot over I give him the surplus and he sells them, also another resource is (or was) the local owl sanctuary they would take a few every week - gratis of course
