Default Co2 to PCP conversion

Hi all, I'm a new member and this is my first post. First of all I need to say I have a good engineering ability and a good general knowledge about airguns.
My question is, does anybody know what the internal pressure of common co2 air rifles such as the crosman, and the SMK XS78 run at? I'm wanting to machine a filling valve and run off compressed air rather than keep buying capsules.
I have a feeling that 800/1000 psi would be safe, but without testing one to destruction on a hydraulic test bed, I have no idea. Any information would be much appreciated.

its generally thought that discussing modification of any air weapon on open forum is frowned upon- who are you where are you from and beng your 1st post too

you coudls find this imformation I suspect, by contacting the maker of that rifle - remeber to keep it below thge 12ft/lbs limit unless of course you hold a FAC

welcome to the Universe by the way

Thank you for your response. Sorry, I didn't know not to ask about mod's. I'm wanting to retain the existing 10ft/lb but using a stirrup pump rather than capsules.
By the way, the pressure is approx 850 psi, which can vary with temperature, so frequent pumping in between a few shots would be needed, so I will probably give it a miss.
Thanks again, and I apologise to anyone I've upset.
