Default Censorship at Work?

Hi All,

Some of you might know me from the AirgunBBS or from UKAHFT shoots, I have not posted on here before but have been a member for a while. (Thank you Gazo for the email reminding me of that!)

About a week ago I was trying to access the AirgunBBS and Airgunforum and I was not able to get in and was told by my browser that the website was ‘restricetd’!

I mostly check the forums and email at work and they have installed a filter, which will not allow me to look at anything 'gun related'. I cannot even look at the BAR website!

This is bad news, but the good news is I can access this website and post on here!

I hope things will change, and as my company is US based (NC) and guys in the US might rebel...

In the mean time you will see me posting on here a bit more!

Thanks,

Piotr

Welcome aboard Piotr

I'm in a similar boat to you mate - over sensitive web filters at work, although I can access the other forums there are quite a few other sites that I can't access.

The only downside about this forum for people like us is that huge banner at the top - makes it a bit more difficult to covertly surf while at work

Enjoy your stay
Bri

Hia.

I have stuffered the same fait at work.
i believe the reason for not barring this site is that it is a .ORG Site.
being a .org its seen as a none profit making site -
More of an INFO site which may be of some use to your Co.

Regards
Nigel

Hi Piotr.

Where would we be without the boss providing us a moral compass to guide us through life eh?

By the sounds of things I am not alone…

I am glad that this website works!

From another point of view though, I have not bought any more guns/scopes in the last few weeks, and the bank account is starting to recover (this might change after discovering this site works ) and have worked twice as hard (well not really, but it might happen!).

Piotr.

As I so often tell people where I work - "I'm paid for what I know, not what I do"
