Years ago I had a Scorpion Pistol in .22 I got hold of a compression fit silencer did a cracking job. Had to leave it fitted to the pistol though so I see how the screw fit would be an advantage.

The barrel dia will be too small for the normal threads used. A slip over such as an air silencer as previously mentioned may be the best bet. You may find very little improvement as most noise will come from the mechanism and at 12mtr it's not noise but vision you need to be concerned about. But as a project , go for it.

just saw an adaptor on ebay, it's a good slide fit on the barrel held with grub screws, and carries the thread for a silencer, sorted!
