    Old Newb from Hertfordshire

    Hi All,

Not been on agu for about 3 years (HAS IT BEEN THAT LONG) but used to spend some time on here.

Hi to all the usual guys........i hope to have more time to catch up...its been a while

To anybody who doesnt know me....well i'm Colin.....live in Herts......I shoot mainly FAC Rapid mk1, FX2000 12lb'er....when i have time which has not been much of late. I have owned many rifles but mostly air rifles as this is defo where my shooting passion is. I have permission on about 300 acres of land although the bunnies must love the fact that i stopped coming to ruin their day........thats will change and i can't wait to get back out there.

I'm a debt collector and qualified accountant.........my other passion is mma ....and must say do enjoy rolling around on the floor with other men, far more than i should.......lol

I have three children...although i now live on my own. I have a dog called max (choc lab) who keeps me company after a hard days..........he is a terrible gun dog tho

    Well thats me.

I look forward to meeting you all and catching up with some old buddies

    Cheers

    Mr C

I have four of them Col, 3 carbines and 1 full length. All .22
I also have an RWS Excalibre, which is basically an FX2000 in a different stock, and minus the gauge.

I really think the FX2000 is a really underated gun, it is mega accurate, has one of the best Mag systems going, and stays refined, civilised, and quiet, even when uprated to 30-35 ftlbs.
And it still produces a fair amount of SPC at that level too, as it was designed for those power levels right from the start, and so is very efficient with it`s air consumption.
The only thing I could knock it for is having an average trigger unit, not bad, but not brilliant either.

If I had to sell all my guns, the FX2000`s would be one of the last one`s to go!!!!!

Can`t give better recommendation than that!!!!

four of them (roll eyes)...thats an obsession.

I'd keep the fx2000 over my rapid......I just love its looks. And like you say bang on target, silent, balanced to perfection...... saying that 1 is enough i wouldnt know what to do with four lol

got mad love for the rapid too
