My T8 rusts too and is a pain. It rusts in the exit hole dish, I oil mine to slow it down but can't stop it

T4 - T8 rust for a living- I take mine off ( T8) after every shoot and spray a tiny amount of WD40 inside the mod- I also leave the mod on a radiator to dry out after every shoot- keeps them dry and rust free- the detonation of Centre Fire and the rapid burnig of propellant - causes water to build up inside a reflex mod- can't be avoided- its just Physics- hence my treatment after every outing- if I shoot 1 round or 10 I do the wd40 thing everytine!

You could do as Darren said wire wool down to bare metal and paint with stove paint ( heat resisting and matt finished) however if its rusty inside, it looks like you need to buy a new mod fella

The very best thing to stop rust is Zinc.

If You can get a zinc based coating to apply to Your exit hole (snigger) Rhys, it may solve Your embarrassment of having a brown coloured ring.

    Re: rusting t4

I did read somewhere if you soak a T8 or T4 mod in coke for an hour or two it will remove rust and carbon build up - rinse with warm clean water and a shot of wd40

never tried it but I did hear it was a good solution to carbon build up in reflex mods
