Hi all
Pick up my Airwolf on Friday mint 07 model with Viper 4-16x50 scope.I have been on the farm today and set it up.I have found that used single shot I could group 15mm at 40 yds which I think is very good. The problem is with the magazines fitted of which I have three the targets look like they had been shot with a shotgun.Does anybody know what the problem could be?.Anyway went out on the land for a stoll about and managed to bag a couple of woodysso I am delighted with the gun just wish the mags would work instead of having to use it single shot.
Skrunt
Sounds like the pellets are maybe being damaged on the transfer from Mag to breech.
Check that the mags are aligning with the breech correctly skrunt.
Also check the pellets are being seating correctly when You load them into the mag.
Are the pellets to tight a fit in the mag??
It would be well worth a call to Daystate, to ask for their advice, and to let them know You have an accuracy problem.
Considering the cost of it, You would expect it to be blinding, wouldn`t You???
Hi Gambo
I agree the pellets must be being damaged when being pushed into the breech. Its strange how it happens with all three mags though,I could understand if it was just one of them that was duff.I could not group better than about 2" with them it looked like grandma clampitt had shot them with her scatter gun.I charged the gun to the recomended 200 bar and it was at 11.7 flbs when I had shot about a hundred shots it was at 140 bar and still producing 11.7 flbs using AA fields which is pretty impresive.Maybe its because they as so soft that the damage is occuring!
What calibre is the gun skrunt??
I have a few Daystate multishot guns (all in .22), and all give fantastic accuracy when used with their mags.
I have heard in the past of some .177 Daystate`s that are more accurate when fired with the single shot tray though.
Gambo its .22
Air arms field I have found them a good allround pellet. If you do miss the R you wont be the first person to call me that lol.
That`s what I use in mine, the 5.52 version, and as said accuracy is as good with the mag as it is single shot.
Have You got the magnetic mags??
Have a grizzle to Daystate mate, see what they say!
Yes they are the magnetic mags.
I will phone Daystate tomorrow and see what they say.I will let you know the outcome.
Thanks for your input once again
Be good to know the outcome skrunt!
Don`t forget to update us!!! Ta.
