Lovely wee Spaniel Mike. I've had dogs all my life, love them - just lost our Border x Lakeland terrier last summer at 15, still miss her terribly. Given our present situation I can't see us getting another dog and that makes me very sad.

It's always annoyed me that dogs have such short lifespans compared to other creatures that haven't got a fraction of their loyalty and devotion, but that's life I guess.

Yeh thanks, he is a beaut, he is my sixth Springer, first boy though, all the others were little girls.. I really dislike the word " bitch ".
I have to admit he has being harder work than the others, to independant for his own good at times.

Sorry to hear about yours, 15 is a good age, no doubt it had a good happy life, situations change sometimes for the better, fingers crossed your do'es and you get another dog.

'SHE' Mike...the socks were to prevent her scratching her teats as she suffered badly from inflamation in her final months. I still catch sight of her out of the corner of my eye (usually a black or dark object) and find myself calling her name before I realise that she's not here anymore....bummer.

My brother has a Springer, old fella he is now, he has a entirely different use for his back legs, though im sure a pair of those socks would help, one way or another lol the Springer that is....not my brother

Meet Neo (see pic below in signature)

I got him at about 2yr old having found him wandering about I handed him into the dog wardens / police, they called after about 3 or 4 weeks to say nobody had reported the dog missong or lost, did I want to go and see him? So i said No then a couple of hours later called to arrange to go and SEE him, so two hours later I show up and all the dogs in the kennel are going mad, barking something daft but not Neo he just lay down and put his paw under the gate of his kennel so it was like, come on then lets go home and had him 4 years now

Just going on a 5.5 mile walk with him just now.

Should have mentioned he's a Lab cross Staffie and he's soft as heck

Her name is Bella, she is 12 years old and I am besotted with her as I was with her sister, who sadly died 4 years ago, but I have made Bella promise that she will live forever.

She is also very good at stretching rabbits!
