Evening experts, I'm selling an air rifle (hopefully).
The guy buying is paying up front (Paypal) and want's to know if I can post the rifle.
Is it legal to do so ?
Any advice please![]()
Believe there is already a thread about this subject. Try doing a search Mate
pretty sure that royal mail have to accept Air rifles but make sure they are well packed and do not look like a rifle / Rifle shape . I myself got a rifle sent to me but i used a courier , Interlink they are called so you could ask them for quote ?
I am sure someone on here will give a more accurate answer. Will also look for the thread and let you know.

I sent air rifle thro post last week with parcelforce,48hrs and signed for, cost me £12.50,no problems.
I sent an air rifle by Royal Mail Special Delivery a few weeks ago.
I separated the Action from the Stock (one bolt) and laid them side by side, they were very well packaged with bubble wrap around and between them, and made up strong cardboard box approx 28" long with gaffer tape, and wrapped that in Brown paper sealed with Brown Parcel tape. My Buyer was chuffed to bits with gun which suffered no damage whatsoever.
I took the un-gunlike parcel to the post office at 4.40pm Monday in Burton on Trent, and it was delivered in Liverpool at 9.15 the following morning.
Plus it was Tracked all the way and the "Sporting Goods" content was insured for £400
The cost was £22 which may seem a little expensive, but what would the cost have been had I used a cheaper method and the parcel went missing?
