After our last few trips out on the farm we spied a good flock of pigeons on the neighbouring farms oilseed. So we made a plan to get down and see if we couldn't bag a few for the pot. Well the weather has been dry lately and the moon was covered so me and Rhys(Spitfire) decided that after our recent shooting hibernation we'd pop off out with the lamp for charlie. We'd managed to get out early last Tuesday morning for some bunnies and while we were out around the farm we spotted the recently killed half eaten carcass of a new born lamb so that was it, a decision was made to get out and see if we could nab the fox or foxes. Another "What you're days out turn into" Blog. Here we have a nice de-boned 4kg haunch of venison with stuffing with added pinch of garlic to pep it up a bit. Preheated the oven to 190C and in its gone for approx 3 - 3.5hrs and it will be served with baby potatoes, parsnips, peas, carrots and a thick beef gravy
