Managed to get out today and was looking forward to getting some wood pidgeon for the up and coming recipe i was going to share. Decided on taking crossman premier pellets instead of rws super h point as they seem to be a bit of a tight squeeze

Anyway i arrived nice and early and set up an ambush position about 20 yards away from a sitty tree and waited. I also stuck up some decoys in the branches to help bring them in. I was sat waiting for about 2 hours when i seen the first arrive.

Imagine my surprise when i noticed it was a ferel. I decided on holding off the shot in hope that some woodys would arrive. Another 15 mins brought in 3 more ferels and no woodys by this time i was getting cold, tired and wet and not to mention being attacked by every little creature known to bite!

After another 15 mins wait i decided on taking on the few ferels that remained and bagged 2 before the rest flew off. I packed up, bagged the ferels for the incinerator and headed for the car. When i got home i noticed something on my car seat and took a closer look. It was nothing more than a dirty bird poop, my back was full of it and it was now all over my seat aswel This car is only 4 months old aswel!

Well this days trip out turned into a waste for me and as you can imagine i am not happy about it but oh well, plenty more better days to come i hope

Ferrals!!! Nasty! All I think about when user them is their love for eatting vomitted kebabs on union street. Can't stand the things and a very close second to seagulls.

If you've got any good squirell recipes I'd love to see them as it something I've never given a go. I like to eat what I shoot but haven't brought myself to make a plate out of them yet so open to ideas to try and step up to the task lol
