Not THAT far wrong! The .17 HMR & .22 WMR are very close with the .22 just a tad bit more powerful by say 30 ft-lbs but has double the knock down ability and much better wind 'bucking' ability and the ammo used to be very reasonable indeed. Not as trendy as the HMR but never the less a very capable round indeed and one which has always been over looked in favor of either a .222rem or HMR these days. Slightly more loopy trajectory than the HMR (30 grain bullet) but the .22H will out shoot both rounds and a .223 is just class or a .243" running 60 grain bullets is pure class!!! .
