I finished fitting the V-Mach today, what a satisfying job. I was a bit gutted that I caught the edge of one of the trigger unit retaining pin holes in the cylinder with the punch but it's just cosmetic and the stock covers it anyway.
I've test fired the gun, cocking is much smoother and the twang has totally disappeared. There is no dieseling whatsoever, the old piston seal smelt very smokey. I've only fitted two spring compression washers as recommended in the instructions and the gun is punching holes straight through a 1/4 inch piece of ply, something that it wasn't doing before. I'm going to get it chronoed just incase.
I took the Tasco scopes back, I wasn't happy with them ( the Gunshop owner wasn't too happy either but hey ho) and ended up buying a Hawke 3-12x50 Nite Eye. I don't know if this scope is any good yet as I overlooked the fact that I'd need high mounts to mount it but they certainly seem better than the Tasco poo.
I've ordered mounts and 24hr delivery so hopefully, I'll be zeroing tomorrow night.
