It's a cracking gun, I did find it a bit loud but that's probably because it's new and I'm sure it would settle down. The rush of blood is over now and I'm seeing things for what they are and as I have th 97, I'm in no real rush to buy a new gun so I have time to get the decision right. If I'm honest, the real reason I considered a springer over a PCP was the cost, for the cost of a PCP alone, without the filling kit etc, I could go shooting with a new gun, so I'm going to hang on for a bit until I know what I'm going to do.

For now though, I'm going to spend some money on the 97, I'm going to get a Tasco 3-9x40 scope, with illuminated reticle, which is half price at the moment at the gunshop as my current Simmons scope sometimes fogs up internally when in use. I'm also considering a V-Mach kit for the 97 as although it is a cracking gun, if it can be made even better, then I'll give it a try.

So, after all that, the jury is out for me for now at least on what my new gun will be but before too long, I should have some idea of what I want to do.
I dont want to look like a party pooper fella but if that Tasco scope has a Xmas tree style illuminated ret then it's a fake, come to think of it original Tasco's are pretty poop nowadays.
If i was you i'd save a little longer for a better piece of glass.
Please don't take this as a dig,i just don't want you to buy a dud.
