Went to the local fair aged 6 and won a green stuffed mouse on the rifle range - well chuffed
After that my dad broke out his old cadet major and I had supervised plinking sessions. Never looked back (and 26 years later he will even let me out on my own sometimes)
Have had a few guns since and still take the cadet out from time to time - a classic.
