Default Re: 10 x 42 sniper type scopes

I prefer to shoot from a bipod wherever possible, so the 10x42 style scopes were very appealing to me..

Snagged an EB model a while back and was completely blown away by the quality of the thing - having only used sub-£150 scopes before I felt it was time for an upgrade.

The higher mag does take some getting used to, but I've successfully shot at all ranges between 10 and 50 yards with it no problem

I have one barn where the shots are near vertical, light very poor and range short - I must admit that the unit struggles there, as the side PA won't focus so close and the light doesn't help

So I've got a .25 cal falcon with a red dot for those situations now

I've taken far more bunnies with my 410/10x42/bipod combo than any of my other gear, and the higher mag is helping me learn to control my "wobble" on standers etc so I'm getting better as I practice more - still love the bipod tho

All in all - fantastic scopes - try one!
