How about a Renault Scenic? A yr2000 reg one would probably sit comfortably in that budget. They are cracking cars, especially for taller people. The seats in the back are designed to take three adults rather than three children like normal cars. If you take the back seats out (takes about 2 minutes) it is more like a van than a car. It is ideal if you go camping, you can take five people comfortably in the seats, a tent in the boot and all the stuff plus plenty of left over room for lager

We have got one and it seriously the best car we have ever had, its a V reg and it still feels like a new car.
