Default Re: Hunting and pest control

Woah. No I'm not kill crazy - I like to hunt things that I'm gonna eat. In fact it bugs me when they kill birds on my farm and then just throw the bodies away. I used to take them home and eat them, since we always get pigeons from a game supplier anyway. I certainly would not shoot anything that moves - I'm not even gonna shoot rats or squirrels, I really don't see the point in that. It's the same as course fishing - I just don't get why you'd wanna whip a fish out of closed in tract of water, wave it at a camera and then chuck it back. Now that causes animals distress.

All I want is a gun that will kill an animal - obviously humanely - and which is not too pricey or for the hardened pro. I want it as a tool. I'm not interested in the "sport" whatsoever. I just like the taste of game and think that if I'm willing to eat it, I should be willing to catch it too. So if you could just recommend me some guns and not get all preachy that'd be great.

Seriously, does anyone know where's a good place to get second hand guns - that Lightning thingy does look ideal but the price new is just too dear.

Help!

Sam
